Ugandan-based logistics company launched its operations in Kenya

Ugandan-based logistics company launched its operations in Kenya on April 14 at the yard in Embakasi, Nairobi.

This marks a major milestone for UGA C-4 Logistics, a company that has operated in Uganda for 10 years but is now entering the market to supply China-made Sinotruk targeting the East African Community (EAC) partner states.

The company lauched the first fleet of 12 trucks that left Nairobi for Uganda. C-4 Logistics is the biggest transporter in Uganda. “C4” stands for Care, Control, Communication, and Competence

At the launch, UGA C-4 Logistics Managing Direector, David Zhu said that the company has decided to expand to all the EAC partner states due to opportunities available for transport logisyics. 

“Based on our team experience, we would like to expand this transport to other parts of the African countries. We are in Burundi, we are actually in South Sudan and Tanzania. We have now opened a branch in Kenya and soon we will be in Rwanda” said Mr Zhu. 

According to Joseph Gakuo, the UGA C-4 Logistics Fleet Operations Manager, said that by the end of the year, the company shall have established in the eight EAC countries.

“We provide transport solutions to meet the client’s needs. Majorly what we are doing is that we are trying to meet business needs by moving items, goods from point A to point B,” said Mr Gakuo.  

UGA C-4 Logistics is a subsidiary company of our original company C-4 Logistics in Uganda. Founded in 2001 by Sébastien Barth, C4 Logistics was built with a clear vision of specialising in time-critical logistics by road and air across Europe.

“C4” stands for Care, Control, Communication, and Competence, values that continue to guide how the company works. The trucks come to Kenya in parts, then assembled by Howo Company. 

As the clients’ needs evolved, the company has kept with the times by expanding into customs management and creating smart digital tools that make logistics faster, simpler, and more reliable.
